This is a description of the Abbey Aikido Club. We are affiliated
to the British Aikikai. Our syllabus covers body arts or taijustsu, jyo or stick
or staff, bokken or sword, tanto or knife and batto-ho. Classes are taught by
Malcolm Blackwood and Tammy Kohn, with guest instruction from Joe Curran.
Our location is at the Abbey Sports Centre, Durham.
Other words include, self defence, ukemi and Gilesgate, northeast, fukushidoin, Birankai.
